Privacy policy

Visitors

You can use SchoolScope USA without an account. We do not ask for your name, email or location. Your web host records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and to keep the site running; these are kept for a limited period and not sold.

The compare tool remembers your selected schools in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it with the “Clear comparison” button.

We do not currently use analytics or tracking cookies. If we add advertising, ads may use cookies set by the ad provider. Where the law requires it, we will ask your consent first and update this page.

Students

The site uses only aggregate statistics published by NCES. It contains no information about individual students, and we hide small groups so that no student can be identified.
